Square Lust Bugs Tote

I was trying our new silky tote today. And I must say, it was verrrry comfortable. I always have some extra-cargo with me (although I wear small purses, if not backpack), be it albums, books,sneakers/high heels or a bunch of teddy-bears :D I`ve been suffering whole last summer  carrying all my stuff (especially blankets for idle hours in park )in random simple totes.

Now I decided to take an advantage in being an artist and finally have made my own tote.

These fictitious insect rather look like jewels, no disgust at all. I created them from zero to every infinite detail.

Double-faced tote features fro golden bugs at one side, and big golden one on another. Main color is dark green (but maybe I will add options like blue or whatever). Soon available at the site.

I have hectic times past two days... So I was more than happy to snatch finally a few hours for drawing today. Inspired by Lanvin...

It`s a pity that scanned pic doesn`t show the golden accent I added ( found a bunch of golden glittering ones accidentally among thousand of pens I have!)

Let it be a kitschy touch, but charming :)

Snaky New Scarves

Here they are, two of three designs ((let me keep this intrigue :))) I have made for a new collection.

I love snakes, it is one of my fave ever motifs, I find them so graceful and I see no point to be frightening by them really (although it would be a cobra close to ones face, hm). So these scarves for the people like me -- those who admire snakes more than tramble of their appearance.

For this time, they are made of 100 % silk crepe chiffon. And again our favorite scale 1 square meter!

 

And of course I`m not going to list all new merch here :D Will update with fashion pic tomorrow!

Wrap Patterns

It is very cold in Moscow these days, so the only warming thing is thinking of coming holidays, which I foretasting like crazy.

Here are a few patterns I have made for Square Lust packaging for the festive span, but they are already minimal stock and I even had no time to picture them in flesh (Christmas rushhhh).Well, at least a few lucky persons will enjoy them...

When I started Square Lust in early 2009 I didn`t realize how many patterns would be produced)) But today, looking into my files I was truly amazed by the appalling amount of pictures that have been printed or haven`t for some reason... OMG! 

I guess there will be no updates from Square Lust till  the end of 2012. But I already have something for the beginning of 2013:) I wish we had more time to post about textile and designs stuff in future. Hopefully SL will socialize more in the future and will be more talkative.

The Fruit

Definitely in surrealistic mood more than ever recently, all the fashion related pictures left me unmoved at the moment (except one work which I`m thrilled to finish asap).

I`m focused on large pictures and everyday have this weird mixture  of hate and love , delight and boredom while drawing all the details at large scale...

And I think I`m gonna hate all imported fruit for a while after coloring a few dozens of stickers :D
